Dr. Paul Chen received a Fonseca research grant to develop new techniques and devices to help patients see better. His laboratory investigations have resulted in several publications. Furthermore, he is the inventor of two scientific patents used for the rapid diagnosis of infections.

Dr. Oliver Chen
Dr. Oliver Chen is a residency-trained optometrist who provides comprehensive eye care with an emphasis in specialty contact lenses, including bifocal/multifocal contact lenses and post-surgical contact lenses. In addition, Dr. Chen also provides laser vision correction consultation.
Dr. Chen received his undergraduate degree in Biochemistry/Cell Biology from the University of California at San Diego. He then received his Doctor of Optometry degree from The New England College of Optometry in Boston. Interested in becoming a specialist in the field of cornea/specialty contact lenses, he pursued further training in a residency program. During this period Dr. Chen had the opportunity to work with many specialists in the field of laser vision correction and with hard-to-fit contact lens cases.
Dr. Chen is committed to providing the highest quality vision care in a professional and personal manner. As an avid athletic enthusiast and former varsity soccer and tennis player, Dr. Chen also understands the importance of clear, comfortable vision for clients with active lifestyles. Practice Consultant Dr. Lee Nordan
Dr. Lee Nordan completed his Corneal and External Disease Fellowship at the Jules Stein Eye Institute of UCLA in 1978. Since then, Dr. Nordan has become the major authority on refractive surgery for many eye surgeons worldwide. He is a teacher and consultant to the eye surgery profession both in the United States and abroad.
Dr. Nordan was trained by professor Jose I. Barraquer, M.D., of Bogota, Colombia, the founder of lamellar refractive surgery (the basis of LASIK). His accomplishments include five U.S. patents related to eye surgery, including a multifocal intraocular lens (IOL) used during cataract surgery. He is also a published author, with many articles and a major textbook in refractive surgery ("The Surgical Rehabilitation of Vision") to his credit.
In addition to refractive surgery, Dr. Nordan performs cataract/IOL and corneal transplantation surgery. At one point several years ago, he had performed refractive surgery on so many prominent eye surgeons that he was referred to by an interviewer as "the eye surgeon's surgeon."
